Product Overview
The AGDT300V2KAS1812 is a gas discharge tube (GDT) surge protection device consisting of metal electrodes and metallized ceramics sealed in a gas-filled chamber. It protects electronic equipment from voltage surges and transients by providing a low-impedance discharge path, with a 300V typical DC spark-over voltage and up to 2kA impulse discharge current capability.
Its high insulation resistance (≥1GΩ), low 0.6pF capacitance and minimal leakage ensure little to no impact on normal circuit operation, while offering fast response and stable, dependable operation without aging. It is used in broadband devices, CATV and satellite equipment, MDF modules, base stations and antennas, XDSL modems, power supply and RF systems, consumer electronics, and N-PE mode protection in AC power systems.
Note: do not use a GDT in power supply networks where the maximum voltage exceeds its minimum spark-over voltage. The device is rated for air pressure between 55 kPa and 106 kPa (altitude −500 m to +5000 m) and should be stored in a dry, ventilated, non-corrosive environment. Do not install where it can be touched by humans.
