Product Overview
The ATTP1A is a temperature plate designed for evaluating TEC controllers. It provides a convenient thermal load platform for testing TEC controllers, TEC modules, and heat sinks, and can also be used to stabilize an object’s temperature for scientific experiments.
The ATTP1A automatically adjusts its temperature parameters to the requested temperature range so that the TEC controller can detect the pre-set range. It works together with a TEC controller evaluation board and a TEC controller: the evaluation board connects to the ATTP1A
through CON1, while the right side of the plate connects to a TEC module, a thermistor, a fan, and a heat sink.

The 66 mm × 44 mm platform supports a thermal load of up to 15.75 W over a wide regulation range of -20°C to 110°C, with a temperature stability of 1.8 mV. Response to a large set-point change is 20 s (10°C to 20°C), and 6 s for a small change (20°C to 21°C).
The temperature range is set by three adjustable control parameters (R1, R2, R3), each formed by a coarse potentiometer, a fine potentiometer, and a fixed resistor. Switches S1, S2 and S3 disconnect each parameter from the circuit for measurement, and test pads (TP11/TP12,
TP21/TP22, TP31/TP32) allow the resistances to be read directly with a multimeter while tuning. The TEMPSET pin spans 0 V to 3 V over the default -20°C to 110°C range and is adjusted with the white potentiometer.

Solder joints along the sides of the board allow connection to external devices or components, and test leads can be inserted directly into the solder pad holes. Note: a narrow temperature range (for example 20°C to 30°C) is recommended, as the relationship between TEMP and the actual temperature is not linear over wide ranges.
