TEC24V15AEV2.2 Evaluation Board for TEC24V15A TEC Controller

The TEC24V15AEV2.2 is a TEC controller evaluation board developed for evaluating TEC24V15A series, TEC18V15A series, TEC12V9A series, and TEC9V7A series TEC controllers. It provides a convenient platform for configuring, testing, and tuning high-current TEC temperature control circuits.

The compatible TEC controller is designed to drive a thermoelectric cooler at high efficiency for precise object temperature regulation. It controls both the direction and magnitude of the current flowing through the TEC, allowing heating and cooling control for accurate temperature stabilization.

The TEC24V15AEV2.2 is intended for evaluating controllers powered by a 5.5 V to 24 V DC supply, with output current capability up to 15 A without using a heat sink under specified operating conditions. The board allows users to set the maximum output voltage, set the set-point temperature, monitor the output voltage, monitor the actual thermal load temperature, and tune the compensation network.

The main purpose of this evaluation board is to tune the compensation network on the board to match the characteristics of the user’s thermal load. Proper compensation tuning helps minimize thermal control loop response time and dynamic temperature tracking error while keeping the control loop stable.

The TEC24V15AEV2.2 includes a complete application circuit for driving a TEC controller, an LED for indicating the working status of the controller, and numerous connection pads and terminal connectors for external components and instruments. It also provides a versatile interface for necessary measurement nodes, making it easy to evaluate and verify TEC controller performance in practical thermal control applications.
