Product Overview

The ATNMA2 is a handheld noise measurement amplifier that measures very small electrical noise, down to the nanovolt and microvolt level, that a normal oscilloscope can’t pick up. You touch the input probes to a test point, and the amplifier boosts the tiny noise signal so it can be read and measured through the BNC output. It is used to check the noise performance of electronic modules, power supplies, sensors, and low-noise circuits.
The amplifier has five gain settings, so you can match the magnification to the signal you are measuring. 300× covers noise from about 3 µV to 30 µV, 3,000× covers 0.3 µV to 3 µV, 30,000× covers 0.03 µV to 0.3 µV, 300,000× covers noise below about 0.1 µV, and 3,000,000× covers noise below about 10 nV.
Three selectable filter bandwidths let you limit the measurement to the frequency range you care about: 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz, 0.1 Hz to 1 kHz, and 0.1 Hz to 100 kHz. A built-in 500 mAh rechargeable battery runs for over 20 hours per charge, and an LED indicator warns when the battery is low. Each unit ships with a coaxial cable and adjustable-span probes.
