AD215BYATI High-Speed Isolation Amplifier, AD215BY Replacement, 1500V rms, SIP

The AD215BYATI is a high-speed isolation amplifier that isolates and amplifies wide-bandwidth analog signals without a galvanic connection. It combines signal isolation with a user-accessible isolated front-end power supply in a compact SIP package.

Analog Devices discontinued the AD215 family in October 2022, with final shipments in October 2024, and named no replacement part and no pin-compatible alternative. The AD215BYATI is an upgraded drop-in replacement for the AD215BY: the pinout and footprint are unchanged, so no board modification is required. It is RoHS compliant, which the original part was not, and our datasheet guarantees production for at least ten years.

It suits high-speed data acquisition, power line and transient monitoring, multichannel muxed input isolation, waveform recording and vibration analysis, and other applications calling for isolated analog measurement.

The AD215BYATI achieves both signal and power isolation through internal transformer coupling, removing the external isolated DC-DC converter from the design and reducing board space, component count and overall system cost.

Powered from a ±15 V DC supply, the AD215BYATI makes an isolated ±15 V at ±10 mA available at its input port for auxiliary front-end amplifiers, signal conditioning or transducer excitation. An uncommitted input operational amplifier and a buffered output with offset trim give gain from 1 V/V to 10 V/V over a ±10 V range.
