The ASOA1550N15D25GBT is a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) designed for amplifying optical signals at 1550nm, a widely used wavelength for optical communication and sensing. It delivers a small signal gain of 25dB with a maximum output power of 13dBm, a low noise figure of 7~9dB, and polarization-insensitive operation with PDG below 2.0dB.
Housed in a sealed, standard butterfly package with an integrated TEC and 10kΩ thermistor for precise temperature stabilization, it offers high reliability and easy integration into existing systems. It is suitable for applications such as fiber optic sensing systems (as a modulator or chopper replacing acousto-optic modulators), optical communications, TOF and FMCW Lidar, wind Lidar, and space-based optical communication. Custom configurations, including special wavelengths, are available on request.
