Product Overview
The FG-1151-R07 is a medium-precision, single-axis fiber optic gyroscope. It is an all-solid-state device with no moving part. All-digital closed-loop control and micro-signal correlation detection give it fast start-up, a wide measurement range, and high reliability. Miniaturized optical components keep the volume small while retaining the linearity and temperature adaptability that fiber optic gyros are chosen for.
Bias stability is 0.3°/h typical and 0.5°/h maximum over a 10-second average. Zero bias repeatability is 0.3°/h, rising to 0.8°/h over the full temperature range. The random walk coefficient is 0.03°/√h and the dynamic range is ±500°/s. The unit stabilizes within 10 seconds, weighs 130 g, runs from +5 VDC, and operates from -40 to +70°C.
The RS422 digital output can be customized. The design is ITAR-free, which removes export and import licensing steps for international projects. Typical uses include airborne navigation, unmanned aircraft, ships and vehicles, positioning and orientation systems, ship and aviation attitude systems, infrared pod servo guidance, and orbital detection and attitude control.
