Product Overview
The AT8254 is a high-precision protection IC for 3-cell or 4-cell series lithium-ion / lithium-polymer battery packs. It provides per-cell overcharge detection (3.90V to 4.35V ±25mV) and overdischarge detection (2.3V to 2.7V ±80mV), with charging and discharging control through dedicated terminals.
The AT8254 features 3-level discharge overcurrent protection (0.20V / 0.50V / VC1−1.1V) with external-capacitor-programmable delays for overcharge, overdischarge, and level-1 overcurrent detection. Built with high-voltage-tolerant components (absolute maximum 26V), it is suitable for power tools, e-bikes, and multi-cell portable devices.
