Product Overview
The EC-3243-R02-232 is a three-dimensional electronic compass that reports heading, pitch and roll. It combines a three-axis magnetometer with a three-axis accelerometer. The onboard processor uses the accelerometer for real-time tilt compensation, so heading stays reliable through the full 0° to 360° range at inclinations up to 90°.
Heading accuracy is 1° RMS, with 0.1° resolution and 0.3° repeatability. Pitch and roll are accurate to 0.1°. The baud rate is configurable from 2400 to 115200 bps, and the module outputs both hexadecimal and Modbus protocol formats. It measures 55×37×24mm, runs from 5 to 12 VDC, and operates from -40 to +85°C.
Typical uses include satellite tracking, geological survey, optical rangefinders, GPS-assisted navigation, marine survey, underwater navigation, and mechanical control. RS232, RS485 and TTL versions are available.
