TECEV104 TEC Controller Evaluation Board for TECA1 / TEC5V DIP Modules

The TECEV104 is a TEC controller evaluation board designed for evaluating DIP-package TEC controller modules. It provides a convenient platform for configuring, testing, and tuning TEC control circuits before integrating the controller into a complete temperature control system.

This evaluation board is compatible with TECA1-xV-xV-D, TECA1-xV-xV-DAH, TEC5V4A-D, and TEC5V6A-D TEC controller modules. The TECA1-xV-xV-D series is designed to drive TECs with up to 2 A ultra-low-noise current, with an output voltage range from 0 V to 5 V when powered by a 5 V power supply.

The main purpose of using the TECEV104 evaluation board is to tune the compensation network on the board to match the characteristics of the user’s thermal load. Proper compensation tuning helps minimize response time and dynamic temperature tracking error while keeping the thermal control loop stable.

The TECEV104 allows users to set the maximum output voltage, set the set-point temperature, monitor the output voltage, monitor the actual thermal load temperature, and tune the compensation network for matching the thermal load.

The board includes a complete tuning and application circuit for driving a TEC controller, an LED for indicating the temperature status of the controller, and numerous connection pads for external components and instruments. The TECEV104 is only compatible with DIP-package TEC controllers. The TECEV104 is 100% lead (Pb)-free and RoHS compliant.
