Product Overview
The ALLD10A14V is a dummy laser load assembly designed to emulate the non-linearity of laser diodes for evaluating multiple laser driver series. It provides a durable and configurable load for testing laser drivers before connecting expensive real laser diodes.
This load assembly can be used for evaluating laser drivers including ATLSxA103D, ATLSxA104D, ATLSxA214D, ATLSxA216D, and related series. These laser drivers are commonly used for driving one or multiple laser diodes in DPSSL, EDFA, and fiber laser applications.
The ALLD10A14V can be used together with the ATLS216EV1.0 evaluation board or used alone as a dummy laser load. It helps users verify driver operation, wiring, output current settings, and load behavior before connecting real laser diodes.
The dummy laser load uses durable regular diodes and supports high continuous and pulse current capability. It provides variable voltage drop steps from 0.8 V to 12.8 V at 10 A and 25°C, allowing users to emulate one or multiple laser diodes under different forward-voltage conditions.
The ALLD10A14V includes configurable diode switches, a heat sink and low-noise high-airflow fan, a fan control circuit for constant fan speed over a wide input voltage range, and an over-temperature shutdown circuit to protect the diodes when the diode temperature exceeds 90°C. The ALLD10A14V is 100% lead (Pb)-free and RoHS compliant.
