NTC thermistors are widely used in applications of temperature sensing and measurement. In these applications, high temperature sensitivity, long term stability and high reliability are needed. This NTC thermistor, ATH10K1R0, is a glass encapsulated thermistor with two coated leads. It needs to be noted that the δ value is the parameter of NTC thermistor before the secondary encapsulation by most of the manufacturers. Although the current determined by this parameter won’t produce self-thermal, but it affects the selection range of the parameter value. That’s because the max. non self-thermal power is increased after secondary encapsulation. The way to determine the current range by dissipation factor is to determine the accuracy of NTC thermistor first, and then the self-thermal power consumption allowed. For example, when the accuracy of NTC thermistor is 0.1°C, then the self-thermal temperature doesn’t exceed 0.1°C, that is to say, less than 0.1δ power won’t produce self-thermal power.(more)

ATH100K1R25 is a high performance ntc thermistor series. It has three models, i.e., ATH100K1R25, ATH100K1R25T70, and ATH100K1R25T70S. They are all glass encapsulated NTC thermistors with high stability and long term liability. ATH100KL2C is a NTC thermistor assembly with a ring lug outside the thermistor head, as shown in the photo below. This ring lug is used for mounting to a target object easily. The thermistor head inside the ring lug is ATH100K1R25, so the characteristics of ATH100KL2C are similar to ATH100K1R25. The nominal resistance of this thermistor assembly at 25 Celsius degree is 100k.(more)
6. The function in power supply circuit of NTC thermistor
NTC thermistors in series in the AC circuit plays a role of “current insurance”. NTC thermistors in parallel in the AC circuit plays a role of “limit overvoltage”. Frequent on/off is not allowed when using NTC thermistor in the power supply for startup surge suppression. Restarting is allowed when NTC thermistor cooled down to a cold resistance. Otherwise, NTC thermistor in the circuit will have little effect.(more)

4. NTC thermistor “temporary” insert sensor
This type of thermistor sensor can insert into human body through an incision (the typical way is through a catheter). Compared with implantable sensor, this insert sensor has less danger. According to different surgeries, this sensor can effect for a few minutes to a few hours.
